The Executive Chairman of Edo State Universal Basic Education, (SUBEB)  Dr. (Mrs) Joan Osa Oviawe, who also doubled as the refiner and nurturer of Edo Basic Education Sector Transformation (EDOBEST) as initiated by Gov. Godwin Obaseki led administration has poured encomium on the Executive Governor of Edo State  His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki on his recent victory secured in the Federal High Court,  Abuja, on the dismissal of alleged certificate forgery case instituted against the Governor by the All Progressive Congress (APC). 

According to Mega House TV, In her opening lines unveiled in her social media handle, Dr. Oviawe said "CONGRATULATIONS! H.E. Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki"

 *"Torgba (pre-election), Ogbane (immediate to election), Ogbafo (post-election), Ogbayan (post-court victory).*  These are words heralding the contemporary political renaissance in Edo state as engendered by the masses' and electorates' reclamation of their powers to decide who will govern them in a democracy. The people of Edo state have chosen to embrace light over darkness; facts over propaganda; and transformative leadership over inordinate abuse of power that is dictatorial, hubristic and anti-poor.

If, as the saying goes, "Language is Culture expressing itself in sound" then, the choice of words coined for the epochal re-election of *Gov. Godwin E. Obaseki* in a victory that was landslide and unprecedented were emancipatory, cultured, disruptive of the old guard politics of prebendalism and more importantly, evocative of the people's desire to stand by their performing Governor, a man who is successfully re-enacting and re-imagining politics, leadership and sustainable development in Edo state.

As the nation watched in shock and awe at the unfolding political drama in Edo state, which also attracted the gaze of the global community, H.E. Gov. Obaseki rose to the occasion and showed grace under fire. He was courageous and his embodied gravitas enabled him to be steadfast in his values and convictions against all odds, refusing to kowtow to vote buying or judicial inducement, in what can be aptly described as the *audacity of integrity.* 

The Edo electorates have won again as well as their *Wake and See* Governor and his able deputy Rt. Hon Comrade Philip Shuaibu. Edo must certainly move forward!
