BENIN~ Candidate for Orhionmwon South Constituency in Edo State House of Assembly, under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Comrade Bright Iyamu has earlier today described the verdict of the Apex Court as the beginning of Victory for the people of Orhionmwon South Constituency, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.
In an interview with Mega House Tv, Iyamu described Judiciary as the last hope of the common man, as well as commended the adherence to judicial precedence of the law.
This follows an earlier verdict by the Court of Appeal, on whose delegates are authentic, in consonance with Federal High court judgement recognizing the candidates of the Obaseki led group few days ago, before today's judgement by five man judges at the Supreme Court who unanimously agreed that the issue of delegate is not Justifiable, that only aspirants rights are mentioned in the electoral act.
Comrade Bright Iyamu who hails from Iguododo Community in Ugboko Ward of Orhionmwon Local Government Area however said there is no victor, no vanquished, adding that the PDP is one big family, and not even the previous tug of war can stop the victory. He added that blood brothers do argue, fight in disagreement and what matters is that they sit and eat together, as they remains siblings.
In his words, "The Supreme Court verdict is purely the beginning of Victory for Orhionmwon South Constituency. It has further built my confidence to represent my people. The victory is not to ignite disunity, but to foster unity, mend fences towards a better representation. We trust Gov. Obaseki, the Unifier in General" Iyamu added.
