Rt. Hon. Roland Asoro sends new year message to Edo people, calls for unity for peaceful coexistence

Deputy Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Roland Osadebamwen Asoro, has urged the people of Orhionmwon in particular and Edo State atlarge to be optimistic, goal- oriented, steadfast, patriotic and law abiding in lieu of attaining a better society in this new year 2022.

Asoro, made the call earlier today in Benin City, in a celebration reunion with his constituents as part of his new year activities.

The member who is currently representing the good people of Orhionmwon South constituency enumerated the vital prowess of unity in enthroning development and attaining sustainable goals.

Asoro however commended Edo people for their continuous support for the MEGA agenda piloted by His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, as well as appreciated his constituents for the huge cooperation gained since he assumed the legislative business.

The Deputy Speaker further stressed on the need for Edo people to embrace unity, adding that development is better achieved when there is peace and harmony amongst government and the masses.

He admonished the overall leaders to ensure that the welfare of the people remains an integral priority in their agenda, adding that he has decided to put the people first, which is his primary assignment.

Hon. Asoro assured the people of Orhionmwon South constituency that in 2022, his works on empowerment and other effective deliverables will double and supercede the infrastructural facilities attracted in 2021. It is the prayer of every law maker to allow the performances of tomorrow supercede the previous.

In his words, "Honestly, I am highly excited for the privilege to see another year by his mercy. I am certain that 2022 will be a better year for our people. Time will not allow me mention all our effective deliverables Viz a Viz, projects and empowerment in 2021, but I assure you that 2022 will be better both in projects delivery and law making business"

"Above all, development will not be possible without peace and harmony. Hence, I urge the good people of Orhionmwon in particular and Edo atlarge to embrace unity for peaceful coexistence. In the past years as your representative, I have enjoyed your cooperation and it is my prayer that it continues in this year, 2022"
