Earlier today,  Mega House TV hosted an exclusive interview session with the Executive Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon. Sylvester Okoro for an investigative mission on series of news regard Orhionmwon Council in recent times. 

Responding to the lingering question on how he has been able to manage Orhionmwon Local Government Council,  in spite of the little resources and near absent of Internally Generated Revenue, The Council boss, Hon. Okoro said he was not perturbed nor disturbed about his own allowances or personal interest, adding that he has devoted his time and resources to ensure the council takes its pride of place in the last two and a half years,  upon his assumption of office. The Council was a shadow of itself before my emergence as the Chairman,  but as we speak,  my administration has returned sanity and wellness to the system. 

The Executive Chairman however admonished Nigerian contemporary Politicians to look beyond their personal gains in politics and focus on achieving and attaining greater heights in their various portfolios, adding that true leaders are remembered for their vital works and legacy.

In his words, "Only selflessness will make a fish survive in a dry land. I succeeded in attracting effective deliverables as the Council Chairman of Orhionmwon because I was not after my personal interest. I ensured I utilized what we had and in addition to my personal funds,  to ensure effective deliverables in Orhionmwon.  For those that know my personality, I am always satisfied and contented with what I have. That's why I am not bothered about what people say when they ask me how I succeed without tangible resources,  because I believe leadership is all about selfless service.

While responding to series of Awards bagged in recent times as the "Best Council Chairman In Niger Delta" by Edo Legacy Foundation and "Mega House Leadership Award as Most outstanding and dogged Council Chairman in Edo State" by Mega House Entertainment few weeks ago, Hon. said he was not surprised receiving the awards,  adding that he is convinced that he has served meritoriously.

In his words, "For the numerous awards,  I am not surprised.  My works are numerous AMD verifiable to show,  with unexpected projects to show,  considering not the little resources gained by Orhionmwon Council. Personally,  I hate failure and so I ensured I perform creditably well, which has now pegged my name in where it is today"

When asked about the recent state of the Council,  Hon. Okoro said the Area has witnessed huge development upon his assumption of office. Recounting some verifiable projects such as the blueprints in Primary Health Care sector,  donation of electricity transformer to some communities, Donation of Borehole installations to some communities, Execution of Market structure, accurate and adequate policies,  transformation of the IGR system,  adherence to Basic Education transformation as initiated by Gov. Godwin Obaseki on the Edo Basic Education Transformation, restructuring of the salaries status in the Council, which is drastically reducing the backlog of teachers  Arrears,  with adherence to adequate payment of salaries in recent times. 

Reacting to a question about his ambition to seek reelection as the council Chairman, since the ongoing tenure draws curtain few weeks more,  Hon. Okoro said,  "I have vowed not to disappoint God and my people, I will continue to be selfless, dedicated in attracting development. It is God that gives power,  not man"
