Build your office outlet in our region now,  Socio- Economic Crusader tells Seplat

By: Goodluck Osama Ogbeide

Award winning Author, Socio-Economic Crusader and CEO of Mega House TV, Comrade Goodluck Osama Ogbeide,  has joined its voice to other well-meaning leaders of Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, for a call propelling the Seplat Petroleum Development Company which currently undergoes exploration of Oil and Gas in the Obozogbe Nugu, Ikobi, Oben and Iguelaba communities, located in OML 4 of Ugu  ward (9), Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, to build an office outlet in the region.

Comrade Ogbeide said Obikobig indigenes  were no longer comfortable with the neglect and unholy marginalization levelled on the region by the Oil company who undergo drilling and exploration of their natural resources without any office outlet in the region.

In a New Year message titled "2021, A No go Area for continuous marginalization and underdevelopment in Our region", Comrade Ogbeide said the inhabitants of Obikobig region were no longer comfortable with the Head office in Sapele controlling the center stage in OML 4, adding that it is a pure attempt to improverish and ridicule the region.

He however noted that the Oben Oil and Gas field in the region produce at least 85% Crude Oil and 100% Natural Gas,  which no doubt swinged the pendulum of Edo State as one of the core Oil and Gas producing states.

The Mega House TV Boss however said securing an office outlet in the region by Seplat will effectively and efficiently serve beneficiaries as host communities better.

Mega House TV reports that  the call was made following similar calls earlier made by Elder and Leaders of Orhionmwon Local Government Council during the Orhionmwon Economic Summit held late 2020 in Abudu.

Comrade Ogbeide further told the Chief Executive Officer of the Company,  Mr. Roger Thompson Brown to embark on building an outlet in the region, as it has a lot to do with the enhancement of the welfare of the people of the region,  in quest for serving them better.

Comrade Ogbeide stated that the relocation of the office would reduce corruption and manipulations of accounts and stipends of beneficiaries, and further more attract proper development, insisting that it is a sign that Seplat were not ready to put a smile on the faces of host communities of OML 4, if the office outlet is not achieved.

He further asserted that it would help various contractors and successive coordinators to be accountable and be more focused, all for the betterment of both the company and indigenes.
