*Why Dr. Okundia may retain his portfolio as Edo Commissioner for Health, an overview of Public opinion*

_Bags three awards within 24 hours,  as NCDC, other state emulates Edo's initiative in tackling Covid 19 saga_

Fresh report has emerged that the immediate past Commissioner for Health,  Dr. Patrick Okundia may retain his portfolio in Gov. Godwin Obaseki's next door cabinet. Mega House TV reports that there is a clear indication emanating from an overview of the continuous encomium and accolades that has greeted Dr.  Okundia in recent times.

There is no iota of doubt that Edo State under the leadership of His Excellency, Mr.  Godwin Obaseki has continuously taken the lead in tackling the Covid 19 pandemic, which has plagued the universe to a standpoint.  Many States of the country has emulated Edo's systematic approach, alongside with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Just recently,  precisely two days, the professional doctor bagged three prestigious awards from various renowned body; "Hero Award" presented to the Commissioner by Medical and Dental Consultant Association of Nigeria (NDCAN), presented by the former Secretary of Ministry of Health,  Dr.  Peter Ugbodaga, as he also received the Mega House leadership Award as "The most outstanding Commissioner of the year 2020", presented by Mega House TV, amidst other awards from the Edo State Hospital management board. 

Sincerely, seasons and times may fade away,  but the legacy of a determined compatriot blossoms forever.  With the unprecedented show of love and sampling of public opinion,  it is almost obvious that Hon. Okundia will put on the shoe which fits him,  as the pilot of Edo health sector, most especially at a point when Gov. Godwin Obaseki has vowed not sacrifice competency at the alter compromise or nepotism. 

The appointment of Dr. Patrick Okundia who was the former Chief Medical Director of Stella Obasanjo Medical Hospital by Gov.  Obaseki has since beckons Governor Obaseki led administration as a citadel of professionals handling leadership portfolios,  which is the bedrock of substantive development in any society.
